Hogmanay for Aye and Aye

Well, kiddos, I'm about 30 minutes from departure to the YSA dance. I'm a little ill, and I don't know if it's going to be a smashing success. I've had several be quite unsmashing before, and I don't know what to make of this one. If all goes well: eh. New friends. If all goes poorly: Longest drive to execute Operation:Cookie ever. For those who are unaware, Operation:Cookie is when you go to a dance just for the treats. It doesn't have to be your dance, in fact it's better if it isn't. Have fun all y'alls bustin out ya ought-sixes.

Couch Swimming?

I remember exactly what I was doing!!

26 December 2005

Merry Boxing Day!!

What a better way to celebrate than go through dad's loot and watch several episodes of season one of the Cosby Show. Also, one of us now has two episodes of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon. They were rad!!

25 December 2005

As he rose out of sight, I heard him exclaim...

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good game.

No reason, just wanted to post that.

22 December 2005

I wouldn't say ALWAYS!

Hey everyone,
Just a WARNING! Holy Cow, Melanie and I went shopping yesterday and I could swear that Walmart raised their prices a ton for Christmas! We went to Macey's afterwards and they were a ton cheaper with almost everything! Walmart is usually one of the cheapest, but not right now. So if you're out there Grocery Shopping, I'd recommend Macey's over Walmart.
Especially if you're buying Egnnog, it's 75 cents cheaper at Macey's.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Soylent filth is FREEWAY!!!

So I've decided that wind and snow are not fun things to drive on. Class B jerkfaces they are.

The ride home was made!! I'm alive and kicking still with just a tad of screaming too. Have I ever mentioned the conditions were crappy. Yeah, no roads were closed or anything but weather made us decide to go very slow. Usually ranging from 20-45mph for the last 150 miles. There was an occasional exception of 65 every now and again but we didn't want to push our luck. Saw an SUV fishtail and get turned around right in front of us. Ran over a few lost chains. Other than that, the ride was rather uneventful. I think I'm done driving for the next little while. Eh...10.5 hours traveling messes me over a lot.

LG is an alright place to be I guess. Don't have anyone around to really visit as of yet. Probably going to slap around some of the old boys next week. Food=Leftovers so far. My sleeping will more than likely be jacked for the rest of break. So I guess I have a lot to look forward to here [though I'm looking often to the general direction of Washington, what can I say?].

Everyone in the family is busy here. Well, Mom, Dad and Blanca. Then there's me. Not many peoples in the house. Ooh,I even got a bedroom!!! It's the one with the laundry chute, so I used it so I could wash some clothing. I'm rad.

So everyone, eat lots of food and stay off the sauce!!

Snow Crash

First: Steph and I made it just fine to our house, but the minivan might have seen the last of its days. It always gets a little testy when you take it long distances, but it was really funky this time. Also, we crashed it trying to exit to Fort Collins. Actually, what happened was that I turned slightly too abruptly while going too fast and didn't quite catch the offramp. We did catch the gore area and a lot of snow. We were stopped by one of those metal grate things you may or may not have noticed often accompany the exit ramp experience. I will never question them again. The van is fine (didn't even pop a tire) and we are fine, and I almost killed us again right after that, but didn't. Or we were saved (very likely the latter).

Second: I think y'all should post. You know who you are. For a little info on the blog itself, click here, for info on the members of the blog, here. So tell us what's goin' on!

Christmas in da Hood

Courtesy of 3.5's resident black woman, Christine Pack.

Twas da night befo' Christmas & all in the hood,
Not a homie was stirring cuz it was all good.
The tube socks was hung on the window sill
And we all had smiles up on our grill.
Mookie and BeBe was snug in the crib
In the back bedroom, cuz dat's how we live.
And Mom's in her do-rag and me with my nine,
Had just gotten busy cuz girlfriend is fine.

All of a sudden a lowrider rolled by,
Bumpin' phat beats cuz the system's fly.
I bounced to the window at a quarter pas'
'Bout ready to pop a cap in somebody's ...!
Well anyway...

I yelled to my lady, "Yo peep this!"
She said, "Stop frontin' & just mind yo' bidness."
I said, "For real doe, come check dis out."
We weren't even buggin', no worries, no doubt.
Cuz bumpin' an thumpin' from around da way
Was Santa, 8 reindeer and a sleigh.

Da beats was kickin', da ride was phat.
I said, "Yo red dawg, you all that!"
He threw up a sign and yelled to his boyz,
"Ay yo, give it up, let's make some noise!"
To the top of the projects & across the strip mall,
"We gots ta go, I got a booty call!"

He pulled up his ride on the top a da roof,
And sippin' on a 40, he busted a move.

I yelled up to Santa, "Yo ain't got no stack!"
He said, "Dang homie, deese projects is wack!
But don't worry black, cuz I gots da skillz
I learnt back when I hadda pay da billz."
Out from his bag he pulled 3 small tings:
A credit card, a knife, and a bobby pin.
He slid down the fire exscape smoove as a cat,
And busted the window wit' a b-ball bat.

I said, "Whassup, Santa? Whydya bust my place?"
He said, "You best get on up out my face!"
His threads was all leatha, his chains was all gold,
His sneaks was Puma and they was 5 years old.

He dropped down the duffle, Pistons logo on the side.
Santa broke out da loot and my mouf popped open wide.
A wink of his eye and a shine off his gold toof,
He cabbage patched his way back onto the roof.
He jumped in his hooptie wit' rims made of chrome,
To tap that booty waitin' at home.

And all I heard as he cruised outta sight,
was a loud and hearty...
"WEEESST SIIIIDE!!!!!!"

This Question is for Ben!!!!!!!!

Ben,

Hi there! When will you be home for the next couple nights? Do you know?

Adios

Bye bye Benny, it's only going to be 3.45 without you. Not saying that you're only worth .05, but you know what I mean.

Disappearing Act

So, I really am leaving on Saturday morning. My Miller contract isn't sold yet, so if you (ANY of you) know of or are someone who would like to live in the realm of 3.5, let me know, so I can sell it.

And you're all great.

And, if you want to give us news, it's better to post than to comment. To do so: when you log in to Blogger, you're taken to the Dashboard. You'll see the blogs you're members of in a list form. Please either click on the title of this blog, or click on the green plus next to it. Thanks.

Finals

I know this won't affect all of you, but I well...I'm feeling slightly nauseous and not so happy, so what do I do? I blog.

But getting back to my original sentence. I know this won't affect all, but finals week is upon us. Yes, I'm sorry to bring up the unfortunate news. And I'd just like to wish everyone who has such a dreaded task ahead of them this:

Good luck, don't study too hard, and keep your lunch where it belongs.

-Matsugi (or Amy, if you like. I would happen to be, I quote, "Felipe's...um...friend")

On this day in history... (1980)

My mother, through a lot of exertion, and the doctors, with the deft use of forceps, brought me into this world.

Twenty-five years later, I'm a menace to society.

Come over if you want. I'm celebrating.

09 December 2005

Yes, it's true

Congratulations Keith!!! You are now the proud owner of Scurvy.

Tee hee!!

08 December 2005

consider me socked

Ahoy, from your wayward pirate friend that jumped ship a while back. I think it is only prudent that I stay away a little dispite the ribbing. You are a shady lot you know. However I am back from my voyage of all work and no school making triple k a cool boy er dull boy, so I shall probably add more often. Its good to hear from all ye old swabies. I will be around BYU for a year and a half now to get my master of piracy so I might last long enough to see Keith married. ( I'm not counting on that one though.) Good luck all pirates of threepointfivia.

Laundry or Laundering?

"Felipe, does this seem wrong to you?"
"Um, billions yes."
--Ben and Felipe

There was this one time I found a sock and a tank top in my laundry when pulling it out of said dryer. This is what I get for using public laundromats across the street. Yeah, I know. But, we all know that this doesn't happen on a very often basis. In fact, it's only happened to me once. Not bad since I've been going to the place for two years now.

Now, there's been some sort of streak this past week. Keith found one glove of small stature in his laundry. That's kind of weird, I guess.

As for Jer, well, eh.....I think we're allowed to make fun of him. Because when pulling out his laundry he found some skimpy girl underwear. One in both loads. That's really creepy. First of all, who forgets their underwear? That doesn't seem right to me. Or, it is possible that someone threw said underwear in there while the load was drying for kicks and giggles. Funny, but disgusting. Third, Jer, what the blazes are you doing with said underwear anyway? I think Matt's really uncomfortable just knowing about it. Fourth, we should probably burn that tube top whatever thing that Keith has. Who's with me?

Brett, I checked out your sister...

So, I'm pretty happy that we could all be here, bloggin together. For the information of those who are not admin (and in most cases, the reason you're not admin is that it's just better in general not to have too many admins; it's something like cooks for broth), the following have joined the blog:

Melanie G. (apt dater, F 03-current)
Tiffany (Keith's sis, a long time ago-current) (unconfirmed, but informed)
Mina (apt friend, F 03?-current) (unconfirmed, but informed)

Missing in Action
There's a score of apt friends that have invites. All of the residents I could think of have them except: Armando, Kirk, and brother Kim. I don't know any of their email addresses. If you see El Duque or Kover-to-Kover Kevin, sock 'em for me and tell 'em to sign on. Also I need a better addy for the Probes.

My News
Still no blips on the job radar. Miller contract officially on the auction block. And Brett, I did check out your sister. By that I mean she came through my line at the Creamery.
